Indian fashion designer Manish Arora was awarded with the France’s highest civilian honour Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour).
French Ambassador Francois Richier presented the award to Arora for his renowned and critically-acclaimed contribution to the fashion world.
Manish Arora was awarded the Best Women’s Pret Designer at the first ever Indian Fashion Awards in 2004. He also had participated in the Miami Fashion Week in 2005 where he had won designer’s choice for Best Collection Award.
About National Order of the Legion of Honour
- The National Order of the Legion of Honour (Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur) is a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte on 19 May 1802.
- It is the highest civilian award given by the French government to person for his outstanding service to France, regardless of the nationality. Its motto is Honour and Fatherland.
