Scientist MVKV Prasad has been appointed the new Director of Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE). Prasad took charge from MZ Siddique, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment, who was holding the additional charge after the superannuation of P Srikumar. ADE is an establishment under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). ADE is involved in the research of widespread aeronautical technology as well as of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Since its formation in 1959, ADE has been playing an important role in the design & development of a variety of aeronautical systems required by the Indian Armed forces.Oct 1, 2015
